Hilton Orrington Takes Home Four Diamond Award For Eighth Consecutive Year

NEW YORK, NY – September 22, 2017 — Olshan Properties, one of the country’s leading private owners, developers and operators of commercial real estate today announced that the Hilton Orrington, in Evanston, Illinois was awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating for its eighth consecutive year.  Long considered the “grande dame” of hotels in Chicago’s North Shore suburb of Evanston, the Hilton Orrington is a 369-key, full service, landmarked property favored by locals and visitors alike for its long-held reputation for superior service, amenities and luxury hospitality. The Hilton Orrington belongs to a growing national portfolio of six Hilton, Marriot and Sheraton-flagged properties owned by New York-based Olshan Properties.

AAA Diamond ratings for hotels symbolize a combination of overall quality, range of facilities and level of services offered by a property.  A Four Diamond-rated hotel is one that exudes elegance with modern attributes, features many amenities and displays exemplary standards of service.  Unique from other hospitality industry awards, a Four Diamond rating is achieved after a rigorous on-site evaluation by AAA inspectors.

“We are honored that the Hilton Orrington has once again been recognized as the recipient of the Four Diamond Rating by AAA,” said Michael McGuigan, General Manager of the Hilton Orrington. “Our dedicated team goes the extra mile each and every day to ensure our guests’ experiences reflect the excellence implicit in the Four Diamond rating. It’s truly gratifying to see all of our team’s efforts consistently recognized and rewarded by AAA.”

Celebrating the prestigious recognition, Andrea Olshan, CEO of Olshan Properties, said: “We are so proud of our hardworking Hilton Orrington team whose laser focus on and devotion to providing the highest quality service continues to earn well deserved critical industry honors like AAA’s Four Diamond rating. I am prouder still to look across our portfolio and see the Orrington team’s dedication to service at many of our other properties that have also been recognized each year with AAA’s Diamond ratings.”  Olshan Properties’ award winning hotel portfolio currently includes Hilton Columbus at Easton, Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa, Sheraton Suites Galleria-Atlanta, Residence Inn Columbus at Easton and the Courtyard Columbus at Easton.

Reaching its 94th year of operations, the distinguished Hilton Orrington is the only full-service hotel in Evanston, a town cited just this year by Conde Nast Traveler as the second most beautiful college town in America.  Featuring over 25,000 SF of flexible meeting space spread across 24 meeting rooms; Evanston’s only 5,800 SF Grand Ballroom, which hosts more than 35 weddings annually among other functions; and, the 2,300 SF Promenade boasting dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Michigan and downtown Evanston, all public-use spaces were reimagined in 2015 with an impressive $5.1 million renovation.

As with each fall, The Hilton Orrington is heavily in demand by football fans as home team, Northwestern is scheduled to host games against BIG TEN opponents, 4th-ranked Penn State on October 7th, University of Iowa on October 21st, and Michigan State on October 28th.
